Enclosure - for Yocto-WiFi & GSM Industrial IoT Sensor Hubs
This is a highly functional and inexpensive alternative to the deluxe enclosure from Yoctopuce. It fits the following Yoctopuce sensor hub hardware:
- WiFi / Wireless Industrial IoT Sensor Hub
- GPRS GSM Industrial IoT Sensor Hub
- 3G GSM Industrial IoT Sensor Hub
The lid is attached with two small screws. Differentiating it from the Yoctopuce-original part, this version is slightly lower-profile, and has tabs on the sides for mounting to a surface of your choice by using either screws or zip ties / cable ties. The screw tabs/slots are spaced to match perfectly with BUD brand perforated back panels. The lid is attached with two small screws. There is also an antenna mount included so you can safely / securely attach your sensor hub antennas to your weatherproof box so it's ready-to-go and be deployed in the field to remotely monitor your industrial assets.
Your sensor hub is secured to the bracket with 4 stainless steel screws, which are included with this product and easily screw in with a standard Phillips head screwdriver. We learned from our customers that in extremely rugged industrial scenarios the micro USB ports need more protection. So for this reason there are braces also included that help hold down your micro USB connectors in extremely rugged industrial scenarios!
The enclosure is 3D-printed from PLA. While the lid not completely transparent, it's translucent enough to see the activity of the Yocto lights and status LEDs on the Yoctopuce WiFi sensor hub module. Small holes allow you to press the reset and/or "Yocto-button" without removing the lid (a paper clip or similar will do the trick)
* PLA, the plastic from which this part is manufactured, is highly resistant to UV damage and water. However it should not be used in high-temperature locations (e.g. > 100C / 212F) as it will soften and even melt.
