This GSM 3G Sensor Hub made by Yoctopuce is a 3G / GSM enabled connector device for Tools.Valarm.net.

This sensor hub connects to any 3G GSM cellular network in North America (like Ting, AT&T, or T-Mobile in the states), the Caribbean, or Latin America (like Claro, Tigo, Telcel, Movistar, or Virgin Mobile).
The sensor hub hosts up to 3 Yoctopuce sensors to do remote monitoring of assets, equipment, environmental measurements, and anything else, like:
- Flood Warning Systems Monitoring Coastal Smart Cities, Storm Surges, Rising Tides, Natural Disasters, and Emergency Management
- Water Resources Management for Remote Water Wells - Flow Meters, Water Usage, and Water Levels
- Noise Monitoring, Sound Sensor Systems Measuring Decibels and Methane / CH4 Gas Air Quality
- Fluids and Water Monitoring Systems
You can add as many additional sensors as you like with Sensor Hub Shields.
Your sensor hubs can be powered any 5V power source. For example, you can use
- A USB Micro cable and a regular plain ol' charger
- A battery pack
- Any other 5V power supply, like one coming from a solar charge controller and solar panels

The Yocto GSM / 3G Sensor Hub Connector Device features a built-in clock timer, that makes it possible to put the device into low-power deep sleep and wake-up automatically at predefined time. This makes it possible to reduce power consumption to 15uA while sleeping, which is crucial for applications running on battery or solar panels.
You'll connect sensors and sensor adapters from Shop.Valarm.net that give you situational awareness from sensors made by any hardware manufacturer. Since Tools.Valarm.net is an open platform, you can monitor sensors made by any brands, like Flowline, Geokon, Senix, and Clair Air.
Your GPRS GSM Sensor Hubs only need a few seconds of wake-up time to upload your sensor data to Tools.Valarm.net, where you can map, graph, analyze, predict, download, API-forward, and use custom sensor calculators like statistics, calibration and interpolation.
Three Yoctopuce sensors can be connected directly, one of which can be fixed directly on the sensor hub and connected using a Board2Board-127 connector. The sensor hub can power Yoctopuce sensors with up to 2A.
Want to connect more sensors? You can connect as many additional sensors as you like using 1 or more YoctoHub-Shield extensions.
Warning: although the 3 downstream ports hosting Yoctopuce devices use USB micro-B connectors, the sensor hub uses a specific protocol simpler than USB to talk to the devices. Therefore it is not possible to use or even to power a regular (non-Yoctopuce) device using the sensor hub. Also, it is not possible to use a regular USB hub on the downstream ports.
